Takedown / DMCA
How to report copyright infringement, impersonation, or stolen work.
The fast path
Email admin@vibcod.dev with the subject line takedown request and include:
- The exact URL on vibcod.dev that you want removed (e.g.
https://vibcod.dev/projects/example-slug). - What's being infringed (your project, your screenshots, your code, your trademark, your name being used as a fake builder, etc.) and why.
- A link to the original work, if applicable.
- Your name, your role (rights holder / authorised agent), and how to contact you.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorised, and that the information in the notice is accurate.
- An electronic signature (typed name is fine).
If you're acting under the US DMCA specifically, mention that — we'll treat the notice as a DMCA notice for safe-harbour purposes.
What happens next
- We acknowledge within 48 hours.
- We act on valid notices within 7 days — usually faster. The listing comes down or is hidden pending review.
- The submitter is notified that a takedown was filed and given a chance to respond.
- If the submitter files a counter-notice, we'll forward it to you and weigh both sides before deciding.
Counter-notice
If your project was taken down and you believe it was a mistake (mistaken identity, fair use, you're the actual rights holder), email us with the project URL, your contact info, and your explanation. We'll re-review.
Bad-faith notices
We push back on takedown notices that look like competitive sabotage, trademark bullying, or attempts to suppress criticism. Misrepresenting yourself or your rights in a takedown notice can create liability for the sender under applicable law.
